About us

A professional hub for people who put live television on air

storykix brings together broadcast engineers, directors and lighting and audio specialists to train the next generation of live production crews across the United Kingdom.

Our story

We started as a small group of studio engineers who were tired of seeing talented crews learn the hard way, on air. storykix turns that experience into short, practical courses built around the real pressure of a live transmission.

From integrating cameras, switchers and comms to shaping the acoustics of a news set, our programmes cover the whole chain, for news programmes, interviews and live shows alike.

What we stand for

1

Learn on a live floor

Every delegate spends most of the course on the studio floor and in the gallery, not in a classroom.

2

Reliability first

We teach checklists, redundancy and calm communication because the show must go on.

3

Small groups

No more than eight delegates per course, so everyone gets real time on camera, desk and mixer.
